A to Z Kosher Meats is a meat processing plant in north Brooklyn, NY. Refrigeration equipment contributed to the facility's high energy consumption, resulting in energy costs of approximately $100,000 per year.

Bright Power installed refrigeration control devices on the refrigeration systems in the plant. These controls allow the systems to run more efficiently and still deliver the required level of cooling. Additional energy-saving strategies implemented at the facility included new, efficient air-conditioning units and upgraded lighting equipment. Smart Financing: Before grants and incentives, the cost of the efficiency upgrade (controllers on the refrigeration system, air-conditioning, lighting) had a payback of less than 5 years. A to Z Kosher Meats qualified for a $15,000 North Brooklyn Energy Grant through NYIRN (NY Industrial Retention Network).
