The Urban Green Council's EBIE Awards™ are a nationwide juried competition for people working in Existing Buildings who have made great strides in improving environmental performance, but whose accomplishments may otherwise go unheralded. On May 2nd, Bright Power attended the groundbreaking celebration for Gateway Elton Street, Phase II. The affordable housing development in the Spring Creek neighborhood of Brooklyn will include a 300 kW solar phoptovoltaic (PV) system, which will be the largest solar PV renewable energy system on a residential development in New York State. Bright Power is proud to be working on this project!

On April 16th, Bright Power introduced itself directly to NYC's coop and condo owners by taking a booth at the 2013 Coop and Condo Expo at the Hilton Hotel. Our staff were busy all day helping show attendees with information about our services, including Local Law 84 benchmarking and Local Law 87 auditing, energy procurement and-- particularly popular-- our new solar energy Power Purchase Agreement offering.
