Henry Misas, Energy Engineer

Henry MisasHenry works on energy efficiency and renewables projects at Bright Power. His focus includes the design and implementation of solar systems, including photovoltaic arrays and solar thermal hot water heaters. Using computer models and CAD drawings, he aims to capture every kilowatt-hour that the sun shines in the most efficient way possible. He also works with the Existing Building Energy Efficiency division of Bright Power, drawing upon extensive building science knowledge to integrate cleaner energy systems into the framework of any project.

 

Prior to arriving at Bright Power, Henry conducted wind power research at Yale University through an award provided by the Reid and Anne Buckley Fund for Renewable Energy and the Environment. He was the team leader of Yale’s Formula SAE Hybrid team, which successfully built and raced a hybrid racecar, and was also part of an engineering team featured in Popular Mechanics for a spokeless bicycle design.

 

Henry is a BPI Multifamily Building Analyst, and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University.
